Sarah

This past weekend I was able to do a senior session for a friend.  Her daughter is the oldest of 3 girls, and her sisters had to tag along for the afternoon.  I had an assistant with me, my youngest daughter.  My hubby had a wedding, my oldest was at her first jr. high youth party (UGH!!), and so the little sis had to come with me.  Basically, she toted my bag.

Here is a little preview.

Right now the weather is perfect for those senior pictures and families thinking about having your family pictures done for your Christmas cards.  I can also help you with your Christmas cards as well.

K-P Wedding Preview

This past weekend I had the privilege of shooting a wedding for a couple in our church.  It was a small intimate wedding. Everyone had fun, and I got some great shots of the couple on their day. Enjoy your lives together Erica and Daniel!!

The Boy and His Tractor

Don't you just want to squeeze him.  This is the grandson of friends of ours in our church.  He loves this little tractor that is much older than he is.

Beach Fun Flashback

This week I thought I would pull out a flashback picture of my girls for this weeks theme on I Heart Faces. I guess I am reminiscing since my oldest is entering middle school this year. I remember this beach trip was during a rough time in our lives. We were in the middle of rebuilding our home after the fire. We had to get away from all the stress of life and have fun for a while. I think in this picture she enjoyed burying her sis. Can you tell by her face?

Celebrating Teens

This weeks theme is Celebrating Teens. I thought I would showcase one of my favorite teens - Rebekah. She has just graduated from high school, and she is the one of the best baby sitters - SHE CAN DRIVE!! I was able to do her senior pics which turned our great. We will miss you! Have fun in college!

IHeartFaces - Photo Walk Across America

This past Saturday I was able to participate for the first time in a photo walk. It is where a bunch of photographers with or without models go around an area and take pictures. We also do some networking and learning from other photographers. It was very cool. Our leader was one of the founders of IHeartFaces - Angie Arthur. All of the photographers - some amateur -some professional were from the Columbus area. I hope to keep in touch with the ones I met, and I hope to learn more from them and get to do this again.

Here are some of my images from the day. You can go here to see other photographers images as well as more of mine.

Barefoot Week

I have posted this picture over on my family blog before. Some of you have seen it before. I usually do family pictures every year we go to the beach much to the chagrin of my girls. I was trying to think of something different, and here is the result.
This also happens to be "Barefoot Week" for I Heart Faces this week as well. They are bringing attention to the Soles 4 Souls project. Go here and check them out.

Restoring Images from the Past

Do you have those photos in box somewhere that are damaged and would love to display them? Do you have a photo that is faded, and would like to see more life in it? I have discovered how rewarding it is restoring photos from the past.

I finally got my hands on my husbands scanner and started scanning away some old photos. I started with his grandfather's army photo that had been torn. His mom was so thrilled to see that picture restored again. It is alot of fun and a great challenge to do. Here are some examples--

(for my local Ohio people - these are some boys from Licking county in 1953 who where taught by Joan Garrett)

Please contact me if you are interested in using my services to restore some priceless family momentos.

It's all about the Angles

I enjoy taking pictures at different angles. I feel it brings pictures more interest. This weeks theme at I Heart Faces is "Focusing on Angles". It was hard to choose which one, but I thought this one fits great into this week's theme.  I just love the look between the couple.

Jumping Jonathon

The theme this week for I Heart Faces is "Jump for Joy", and I immediately thought of this picture. Who knew this boy could jump so high? It was a great shoot, and I had a lot of fun with this family. Hopefully you will be seeing more of this boy this year in his senior pics. I think we will have a lot of fun!
